My fascination for inside and outside life provides me with energy and inspiration, necessairy for my paintings. The figurative part forms an essentials element connecting the visible and invisible reality, showing in paint and canvas my vision upon these two extremes and their interaction. Changing like patterns and colours of nature and life itself.

I live and paint in Limmen (The Netherlands) and in the South of France. The light of the south has a clear influence on my paintings. I have been inspired by human beings, landscape, music and the painters: Matisse, Bonnard and de Staël. Born (1941) and grown up in Beemster in the Nord of the Netherlands.
